Overcoming

This Truths section is dedicated to my Mom, Hilda Horist-Radeck. Her struggles were unknown to most. Her kindness, faith and love were obvious to all. She penned it in 1998, but it's evergreen.

Love is in the overcoming

Answering anger with patience

Praying to be a bringer of peace

Keeping silent when we want to argue

In favor of asking The Holy Spirit to guide our tongue

To speak words which bring God’s will into troubled situations

And occasionally seeing how the Spirit of God cuts through the societal psychobabble

With a little direct truth.
